چکیده

Anisoptera costata Korth, an endangered species is distributed in lowland tropical forests of southern Vietnam. Habitat loss and over-exploitation are the major reasons for threatening this species. Eight polymorphic microsatellite markers were used to analyze 64 adult trees from three A. populations Tan Phu, Dinh Quan district, Dong Nai Province Southeast Vietnam detect effects deforestation on gene flow differentiation among forests. The results showed that all have moderate levels genetic diversity within with mean values observed expected heterozygosities, 0.242 0.269, respectively, (0.179), indicating limited (Nm = 1.15). Analysis molecular variance indicated high variation (64.68%) structure Phu. Bayesian analysis detected two lineages, cluster 1 including one population Mieu Co Nam 2 populations, Thac Mai Bau Nuoc. These contribute understanding Southeastern will provide guidelines conservation, management resoration

Description of a new species of Penicillate Millipede from the genus Monographis (Diplopoda: Polyxenidae) found in Vietnam.

A new species of penicillate millipede, from genus Monographis (Diplopoda: Polyxenidae), was collected from Trang Bom and Dinh Quan, within the Dong Nai province, southern Vietnam. Taxonomic characteristics of the genus Monographis Attems, 1907, were used to formally describe this new species. Sensilla of the 6th antennal article and claw structures of Monographis dongnaiensis were c...

An analysis of genetic variation and divergence in Indian tropical polyvoltine silkworm (Bombyx mori L.) genotypes

The genetic variation and diversity among fifty-eight polyvoltine silkworm genotypes was estimated by using ten economic traits. The results revealed that the single shell weight showed higher genetic variation such as PCV% (17.20%), GCV% (12.93%), and heritability (56.5%) followed by single cocoon weight, shell ratio and matured larval weight. The D2 (Mahalonobis? distance) statistics reveal...

Interspecific variation in primary seed dispersal in a tropical forest

1. We investigated the relationships of seed size, dispersal mode and other species characteristics to interspecific variation in mean primary seed dispersal distances, mean annual seed production per unit basal area, and clumping of seed deposition among 41 tropical tree species on Barro Colorado Island, Panama. 2. A hierarchical Bayesian model incorporating interannual variation in seed produ...
